Recent Achievements by our club members
The aim of the club is to become a better speaker. To help achieve this members go through a series of assignments which are then evaluated. After each series a certificate is issued.
Another important aspect is through competitions. These are held firstly at club level and the winner goes to through to Inter Club level and ultimately to National level.

"Having entered Loughborough University as a shy speaker, I am thankful to the Speakers Club which coached in boosting my confidence in public speaking. I feel that the skills I have gained there are helping in my current job and I would thoroughly recommend current students joining Loughborough Speakers' Club.

"I’ve never felt more welcome than I did at Loughborough Speakers Club. I joined the club to conquer my fear of public speaking and I’m proud to say that it was ‘mission accomplished’. I couldn't have done this without the other members of the club, who made me feel comfortable from the start, laughed at all my jokes and gave me the confidence to get up and have a go."
"I met some great people, had a few giggles and I miss them dearly."

"As a non-native speaker I found that by joining the Loughborough Speakers Club I was able to expand my vocabulary and gain valuable communication skills. The members made me feel truly welcome and I was thrilled when I won my first Topics contest"
